| While honeymooning in the Tuscan region of Italy, we took a trip to the Amalfi coast where I saw for the first time the majesty of the ocean there and the dynamic interaction between sea and land. In this series I try to embody the vessels with a representation of that interaction, and through incising show the fish in the surf. It has been said that when one makes vessels only with one's hands they are often silent, but when made from the heart they can speak volumes. I hope that when you decide to commission or purchase one of these that they speak to you what is in my heart that was inspired by the Tuscan region of Italy. |
