Adult Workshops:

Wheel and Hand-building Experience (minimum 6 people)

We offer one-night workshops for adults in pottery throwing.
Enjoy a relaxing, creative afternoon or evening playing on the potter's wheel. Explore the basics of centering clay and throwing bowls and cylinders on the wheel.  More experienced participants will be guided individually by the instructor depending on your interests and level. Lead by an experienced instructor, these fun and informative workshops are designed for those who are curious about clay or want to further their skills without the commitment of a class. Clay, tools and firing/ processing are included. Bring your friends and wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Each Adult will complete at least 3 projects on the potter's wheel, hand building, or a combination of the two.  This class is appropriate for the beginner or the advanced student.  We teach to your skill level.
The workshop will be for a minimum of two hours but more time will be allowed if the quantity of people registered makes it appropriate.
Free "cheap" wine and pretzels provided! You are welcome to make a party of it and bring your own “pot luck” snacks.
We work with your schedule and ours so various times and dates are available.

  • Cost:  $50 per participant with a minimum of 6 people.  (You have to find the other 5 people!) The cost includes a return trip to the studio in approximately two weeks to glaze your completed work or Soulflame Pottery will glaze the piece for you in your choice of colors and notify you when it is ready to be picked up.
  • Registration deposit: $25 due with registration form.

Glaze Application

This workshop is an advanced workshop for those who want to learn more about proper glaze preparation and application. Sorry, no program is available for Daisy's!

How do the participants prepare for the workshop?
It is suggested that you wear clothes that are not uniform clothes!  Clay does wash out of clothes but does mom really want to wash that vest?  Rings and bracelets should not be worn. Anyone with long hair should have his or her hair pulled back in a ponytail or wears a cap.
Food, drink and gum are not permitted.
